    Ecobody’s mission is to promote sustainable development internationally, nationally and locally; providing independent and authoritative advice on environmental issues - delivered with a high degree of integrity.

    Ecobody, established by Peter Doyle, is uniquely supported by a team of technical writers highly experienced in public relations and publishing work on behalf of blue chip clients and government agencies.

    An agricultural chemist and soil scientist, Peter has over 25 years extensive experience in environmental matters at national, corporate and local levels. A graduate of Wye/Imperial College, London and the University of Guelph (Department of Land Resource Science), Canada, Peter became one of the first to be awarded the new Chartered Environmentalist status following the granting of a Royal Charter to the Society for the Environment (SocEnv) in September 2004. He is a member of several environment bodies including the Institute of Professional Soil Scientists, the Institute of Agricultural Engineers and the Institution of Environmental Sciences.

    Peter has provided independent advice at national level jointly to the UK Departments of Health, Agriculture and Environment, on the safe recycling of sewage sludge, heavy metals in soils and soil quality in the and to the UK Water Industry in addition to farmers through courses provided to the Agricultural Training Board. At the UK Atomic Energy Authority, he provided corporate level environmental policy advice through particularly in relation to the 'Duty of Care' and represented the UKAEA on CBI Environment Committees at a time of rapid development in environmental legislation.

    Prior to establishing Ecobody, Peter was a serving Duty Officer at the UK National Chemical Emergency Centre, where he was responsible for advising both public authorities and private companies on response procedures following chemical emergencies. The Shetland oil spill from the Braer tanker is included among the major incidents with which he has been involved. He was managing editor of the international ‘Waste & Environment Today’ journal published by the UK's Waste Management Information Bureau and National Environmental Technology Centre.

    Peter additionally has experience of planning legislation and community involvement in environmental issues through membership of local authority planning committees. He has been involved in the management of several environmental bodies including the Cotswold Water Park - the UK's largest water park and the Great Western Community Forest.
